Ethereal Morning at Laputa Villa, Bali
There is a specific kind of magic that only exists at 6:00 AM in Sidemen. For Ketwig & Kimberly’s session at the iconic Laputa Villa, we traded the bustling beach clubs for the quiet whispers of the clouds.
As the first light of day hit the intricate bamboo structure, the valley below was still draped in mist. This shoot was designed to capture the quiet, intimate connection between Ketwig and Kimberly as they woke up to the silhouette of Mount Agung. At Luminare Photo, our goal was to blend fine-art photography with the raw, organic textures of Bali’s most famous bamboo sanctuary.
Photographer’s Note
The morning light at Laputa Villa is incredibly fleeting. We utilized the “Blue Hour” transition into the “Golden Hour” to create a soft, low-contrast look that complements the natural wood tones of the villa. If you are planning a session here, we highly recommend an early start to capture the mountain before the clouds roll in.
