Golden Serenity
Capturing Laura’s Morning Stillness at Camaya Bali
Bali has a way of whispering peace, especially when the sun begins to peek over the hills of Sidemen. Recently, I had the honor of capturing a deeply personal session for a remarkable woman named Laura.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Camaya Bali, a sanctuary hidden within the lush greenery, we embarked on a photoshoot that was far from the usual noise. The focus was singular: Laura and the raw beauty of nature.

The Morning Glow and Fields of Gold
That morning, the sky was perfectly clear. The bright morning light washed over the landscape in a warm, golden hue. The rice paddies were in their prime—turning a rich, ripening yellow and bowing gracefully, creating a natural texture that served as a masterpiece of a backdrop. As a photographer, this light is a gift. The contrast between Laura’s presence and the vibrant blend of green and gold created a visual harmony that felt both grounded and ethereal.

Why Camaya Bali?
Camaya is more than just a villa; it is a canvas. Here, the lines between bamboo architecture and the natural world blur. Photographing Laura amidst the vast rice fields felt like a “return to roots.” The sound of the flowing irrigation water and the scent of the ripening harvest allowed her expressions to remain authentic, relaxed, and free.
“Sometimes, the most profound journey is when we dare to stand alone, feel the earth beneath our feet, and realize that we are enough.”

Behind the Lens
At Luminare, my mission is to capture the inner light of every subject. With Laura, my job was effortless because her energy was so genuine. We didn’t chase stiff poses; instead, we captured the small moments—the way she breathed in the morning air or the gentle brush of her hand against the golden stalks of rice.
